The department offers the following courses approved by Anna University

Electrical machines lab
The laboratory is equipped with all classes of AC and DC machines, Transformers, Special machines such as Stepper motors, Servo motors and appropriate measuring instruments with the range of accuracy.

 Electronics lab
The laboratory is furnished with Dual trace and Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Function and Signal Generators, Breadboards, Digital IC Trainer Kit, etc.

Microprocessor Lab
The laboratory is furnished with kits of 8085, 8086 Microprocessors and several Micro controllers with wide variety of interfaces.

 Communication Lab
The laboratory has AM/FM kits, noise generators, MATLAB software for simulating and analyzing the systems. This application has been extended in the design of FIR, IIR and digital filters. Other packages are being used for various simulations.

 Digital Signal Processing Lab
The laboratory is furnished with a number of TMS 320 C50 Trainer Kits for realization of Filters, Transformations, Convolutions, etc. Experiments based on MATLAB software are conducted. A variety of toolboxes such as Communication, Image processing, Fractals, Fuzzy logic, Neural networks, Genetic and Evolutionary algorithms provide powerful environment to do projects
