With the government adopting an "open sky policy" the scope of
aeronautical engineers have suddenly increased. A number of airlines are
opening/opened their aircraft fleet operation in India and in addition to
the defence services, namely the Air force, Navy and Army acquiring a
large no of various types of aircraft for defence needs, there is a
quantum jump in the need for aeronautical engineers. Today, due to rapid
expansion and development in this vast highly specialized field, constant
research is being under taken to improve the design and maintainability of
air craft, these engineers are required in the DRDO and other aircraft
industries like the HAL, TANJEA, etc. as Research/Design scientists. A
large no of reputed industries are slowly gearing up to have their own
aircraft, the scope of their employability ahs further enhanced.

In other word, the competition in the aircraft industry has now reached
its pinnacle. Air shows are being conducted all over the world including
India, the latest show being held in Bangalore in 2005, to display and
sell aircrafts to prospective customers as highly sophisticated
technological product-needless to say, the scope will further increase in
the coming 10-15 yrs. |
