The departments of biotechnology and microbiology was establishes in
the year 2003, with both under graduate and post graduate disciplines with
excellent infrastructure facilities like plant Tissue cultural Lab, Animal
Tissue cultural Lab, Microbiology Lab and instrumentation Lab. Today, it
has gained recognition as centre for excellence in research programmes
including M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D. The centre serves as a knowledge recourse
focal point for assimilation of the latest advancement in the field and
development of technology in various areas of modern biotechnology. A
special focus on industrial techniques includes Fermentor, ELISA, Western
and Southern Blotting, Cloning, Gene Amplification by using PCR, Plant
Tissue Cultural, Animal Tissue Cultural, Recombination techniques and
Microbiological Techniques and further endorses the leading positions.
